Code Refinery was started in 1997 with seed investments by co-founders Samir Dandekar, Director of Business Development and Mike Brown, Director of Operations. In 2004, Greg Godlevski, formerly of Pharmanetics, joined Code Refinery as a partner and Director of Software & Information Technology.

Mike Brown

Partner, Director of Operations

Brown’s professional experience for the past 18 years has been in the design and development of electromechanical systems used in spacecraft, lab and medical instrumentation. He has developed systems for uses ranging from NASA research rockets to highly complex medical devices. Brown’s primary focus is managing Code Refinery operations in financial and resource planning. He also manages Code Refinery's software testing and validation team.

Samir Dandekar

Partner, Director of Business Development

Dandekar has 17 years of experience in the development and validation of laboratory automation systems and medical devices. He is responsible for business development, strategic planning and direction for Code Refinery. His technical responsibilities include project management, software development and documentation.

Greg Godlevski

Partner, Director of Software & Information Technology

Godlevski has over 20 years of software development experience in aerospace, medical device and FDA-regulated industries, managing the development and commercialization of software and hardware for medical instrumentation and systems. He is highly experienced in the special needs of software development for the life sciences including validation, Quality System Regulations, and 21 CFR Part 11 issues. Godlevski has authored a software development methodology that has been successfully reviewed by FDA and ISO auditors, as well as 510(k) submissions to the FDA for software controlled devices.
